I hate that new feature. Seriously. I ended up sending 6 pages  of old deviations (over 150 deviations) to the scraps ONE BY ONE so that they wouldn't pop up for the world to see. Thus, my 8 page gallery is now a 2 page + 2 deviation gallery.

Its pretty pathetic. But, it needed to be done. I need to remember to throw out old ugly art more often...geesh.

Good: Because i [very nearly] killed myself last semester in preparation for applying to the art program, i have only one 'freshman art core class' left for the year. Which is a figure drawing class. And, since i dont expect that one to be super-homework heavy, i hope to be getting lots more art (of the personal, non-class variety) to you this semester. So YAY! (if you care)

Bad: Because i only have one 'drawing' type course, its back to the books for the rest of them, and i'll have to figure out how to read all over again probably. How gross!

VERY VERY UGLY: I am in UTAH where it is either brown or covered in white. But, instead of melting and going away, this white junk (which normally i'm quite fond of, being from a more moderate climate) is STUCK ON THE GROUND AND WILL NOT GO AWAY AND IS IMPENDING MY ABILITIES TO WALK LIKE A NORMAL HUMAN BEING (because honestly, i have trouble enough walking and acting normal as is)

Not that i have strong feelings about this.

I got an Email, shortly after i wrote the last journal entry. I am no longer waiting for a reply - because I WAS ACCEPTED!

Clearly i have a lot of improving to do (hence, the schoollllling) but i'm so excited to get to work and get some decent art up here

also, i've decided to change my name (artistly) to go by my middle name because my last name is rather epic, and my first name, while good, just doesn't hold its own against my surname.

So, goodbye Rachel, hello Teressa.

It's not a huge deal, but i got at least one of my pieces from my drawing class into a showcase for student work from the foundation classes - each class can only showcase about 5 or 6 pieces, and there's over 20 people in my class. They may be handing out cash prizes too

Also, i'm waiting to find out if i got accepted to the Illustration program at my College....should e hearing back within the next couple weeks.

Also, in less than an hour i'm going to the airport - its only the 2nd day of finals, but i'm already done and nearly on my way home for almost 3 whole weeks! I'm ridiculously excited
